Exoskeleton
One question was at the beginning of this material decision: What would be the superior material if one were to start from scratch today, without tradition, without prestige ballast?
High-tech microfiber leather in Saphir Noir. Water-repellent by design. Dimensionally stable under stress and identical after years. Abrasion-resistant to a degree that conventional calf leather cannot achieve — and measurably lighter than any animal alternative.
What no other material can replicate: the prismatic reaction to light. The microscopically precise surface architecture of Saphir Noir splits incoming sunbeams into their spectral components. A subtle interference glow of deep red, clear green, cool blue — flickering, disappearing, reappearing. Not a finish. Physics.
Velvet — Perpetual Ocean No. 9
Hundreds of tested blue tones — under daylight, artificial light, diffuse light. The most perfect bore the number nine.
Inside the Magvely 50, it is processed in more strips than the construction requires. The additional strips create elevations and depressions — a textile relief that does not illustrate the movement of the ocean, but makes it physically tangible. Fingers sink one millimeter before the material responds. Midnight blue in the morning. Under direct sun, cobalt on the surface, indigo in the depths of the fabric, a shimmer of azure where the hand brushes the fibers.
Fittings
Polished double zippers with engraved Chincheckgermany signature. The Gothic logo luggage tag bears the tracery of Ulm Minster on the front — reverse: Edition 1. 1 of 299. Customizable with personal initials upon request.
Magno Shoulder Strap
Made from the same high-tech microfiber leather as the exoskeleton of the Magvely 50. Dimensionally stable. Abrasion-resistant. Waterproof. Lightweight. Strap and bag follow the same material logic — no compromise at the interface of both elements.
Care
Avoid direct contact with oils and perfume. For cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth — no aggressive agents, no chemical solutions. For prolonged non-use, store in a cool, dry place, in the dust bag. Store the Magno shoulder strap flat to permanently maintain its systemic shape.
The Velvet lining is sensitive to liquids and sharp objects. Careful handling is recommended.
